Martha Washington Heights is located in Knoxville, TN, and is bordered by Alcoa Highway, Belt Road, Deanbrook Road and UT’s Dean’s Woods.
The Martha Washington Heights Neighborhood Association serves the neighborhood through events, beautification efforts, Neighborhood Watch in partnership with the Knox County Sheriff’s Office and communication. The Association communicates with residents through a neighborhood email list, newsletters, signs, a private Facebook group and the Street Captain program, which is a neighbor representing each street in the neighborhood who is a main point of contact, especially for residents who don’t use email.
The Association’s Board of Directors are listed on the MWH Facebook group. Annual dues are a $20 donation and are due each October 1.
Dean’s Woods, a 20-acre nature area that borders MWH, is owned by the University of Tennessee. The entrance is on Germantown Lane with plenty of parking. The woods contain Knox County’s largest display of wildflowers.
